Sitka Legacy Foundation is proud to announce its 2025 grant awards, supporting local nonprofits that strengthen our community. In this Fall’s 2025 grant cycle, SLF awarded $31,730 to nine organizations working to enrich life in Sitka through arts, education, food security, housing, and essential services.
On November 6th, we announced grant recipients and celebrated our donors at a special appreciation reception. During the event, guests participated in a drawing for the opportunity to direct an additional $500 grant. Congratulations to Tonya Venneberg, whose winning entry allowed her to choose a nonprofit close to her heart. Tonya selected Brave Heart Volunteers to receive the $500 award, recognizing their invaluable work providing compassionate care and support to Sitkans in need.
We are grateful to all our donors and partners for making these grants possible. Your generosity ensures that Sitka Legacy Foundation can continue investing in the organizations that enrich our community.
