The Sitka Legacy Foundation is proud to announce a $5,000 contribution from First Bank of Alaska for our 2025 grantmaking cycle. A local bank serving Southeast Alaska since 1924, First Bank reinvests in Southeast Alaska’s communities in many ways including grantmaking and philanthropy.
As the bank affirms, “First Bank is committed to fostering economic growth and supporting community development initiatives.” (Community Development Grants) This generous gift will help Sitka nonprofits and Tribal organizations continue their vital work—whether meeting basic needs, creating opportunities for youth, or preserving and celebrating local culture.
